Dr. Lovda was born and raised in Chicago, attending Lane Tech High School. He received a BS degree form Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin and then attended the University of Illinois Dental College in Chicago, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omirron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Fraternity. Following dental college, he served a one year general practice recency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center, broadening his dental education. Dr. Lovda is a post president of the Schaumburg Dental Study Club, of which he is still a member, and is also a member of the ADA, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.
Following residency Dr. Lovda worked as an associate general dentist in Mt. Prospect, IL, opening his own practice in Hoffman Estates in 1979. Dr. Lovda is married and has four children. His other interests include tennis and woodworking.
